Hello, and thank you for your interest in our gym! We are Rachel and Micah, and we own and operate NorthStar Athletics. Combined, we have over 15 years of experience as gymnasts, as well as over 20 years of coaching experience. In other words, we love gymnastics and want to share our passion with you and your family!

Rachel was a gymnast for 7 years and competed as a level 6 gymnast, then coached recreational and pre-team gymnastics while in high school and college. Rachel earned her bachelor’s in Health and Exercise Science and is currently working as a registered nurse.

Micah enjoyed recreational gymnastics as a child, then competed in acrobatic gymnastics for 3 years. Micah started coaching gymnastics at 16 years old and has been working in the industry ever since- over 20 years! During that time, he coached and managed acrobatic and recreational gymnastics, co-directed day camps, and was the general manager for Airborne Colorado for 7 years.  

We are passionate about helping the next generation grow and thrive through movement. Whether it is getting to see a one-year-old go from walking to running to jumping, or a kindergartener doing their first cartwheel, or a student overcoming their fears to successfully do their first back handspring; getting to help children reach these milestones is very rewarding and valuable. These milestones that we work for are not only valuable for gymnastics but also help cultivate healthy, confident, resilient, and happy children.

We live in Loveland with our two beautiful children, two energetic cats, and one loud dog. Fun fact: We met in 2007 while coaching gymnastics in the same facility!
